It had been a long time since Stephen and Debbie had been camping. It is kind of hard to camp in Hawaii. They got a real good deal at the outdoor recreation center at Fort Lewis, Washington on a rental camper. It was a nice 30 foot trailer with a large bed, bathroom, and kitchen. They got settled in and unpacked the trailer and put the groceries away. Debbie went to check out the area while Stephen parked the truck. She found a nice log to sit on and enjoyed the view. Stephen walked over and sat beside her. Oh how he missed being in the woods with the love of his life. Her hair blew lightly in the breeze and he bent over to kiss her. Their tongues danced in each other?s mouths as the gentle wind blew. It was great weather for early summer. The stopped kissing and took each other?s hand and they went for a walk to explore the area around the lake.
That night they decided to have a nice dinner and BBQ?d some steaks, made some potatoes, and corn on the cob. Stephen made Debbie a Margarita on the rocks and he had a rum and coke. The meal was great and they were both stuffed. They did the dishes and sat around the fire and were talking about nothing special when they heard a woman?s voice say ?Hello?. They turned around to see a woman in her early thirties; she introduced herself as Jessie and approached the fire. She was an attractive woman who carried herself with confidence. Stephen said hi and introduced Debbie and him. She had seen the fire and thought that she had the campground to herself and thought she would see who was there. Come to find out she was recently divorced and was an inspiring author who was camping for inspiration for a book that she was writing. Debbie asked her if she wanted to sit down and offered her a drink. Jessie replied yes and Stephen made her a rum and coke and refilled his. They sat and talked for a few hours, about all kinds of things from her divorce, her career, the campsite, and all sorts of little things. Debbie was really interested in her book as she had a few that were in the works. They all seemed to be long time friends, and hit it off quick. To everyone?s surprise the sun had started to rise and Jessie said that she needed to get some sleep so she could work on her book. Stephen and Debbie told her that if she needed to get away for a bit she was more than welcome to stop back by. Jessie said she would love that and agreed that she would be back over in the evening.
